Quick Tips for Replacing a Flat Tire

If you happen to find yourself with a flat tire, you don't want to be stuck on the side of the road waiting for help. With the right tools and a little know-how, you can be on your way in no time.

Begin by locating your jack, tire tools, and spare tire. Your owner's manual should include some quick tips on the operation of your jack. Next, loosen (not remove) your lug nuts by turning your lug wrench counter clockwise.

You're now ready to raise your vehicle just high enough to remove the flat tire. Next, remove the lug nuts completely and take off the wheel. Finally, grab your spare and line it up with your wheel bolts and insert your lug nuts. Be sure to attach them securely with your lug wrench before lowering your vehicle.

If you find yourself in this predicament, contact our service center here at Woody Smith Hyundai and we'll arrange to replace your spare with a new tire and have you back on your way quickly!
